Ready To Begin

Sometimes you gotta let go,
Cause it's time to leave those feelings behind.
And the thoughts you spoke, but never showed,

Is fading day by day and leaving all the same.
To be free from things that didn't last,
Is the only thing you want, you want to say.

What's the point of hurting yourself?
You're already hurt and that's why you're in this mess.
More damage done, the more life becomes hell,
But you're too dead to notice, barely breathing from your chest.
The last connection to your past,
Are the dreams you've dreamt from a sleepless night;
Hallucinations that became the last,
Signs that said, "Well hey, you're still alive."

And we stole the clock from the wall,
Because we were too afraid of how fast time flies.
We don't want to leave this golden fall,
But we're so tired of everyone else's lives.
The last day we spoke,
You told me that you were changing again.
And that's the last time that I wrote,
Exactly how I'm feeling to my very closest friends.

But I thank the world for where I am,
Today may not be perfect, but it's better than it could be.
I've got my own life in my hands,
Nothing else to worry about, I'm just worrying about me.
The distance is closing in,
