Literature Text

Things change like every season,
Like the ones I wish would stay,
Winter; it gives me reason,
And summer; it dries up the rain.
And I look back at bitter memories,
Of the fights within my family,
And I think:

Oh, how things have changed,
From pain to love, love to pain.

Life goes on in familiar circles,
Because I make the same mistakes,
They all told me to be careful,
But I'm stubborn to what they say.
So I embrace the sudden recognition,
And stop blaming my so-called condition,
And I think:

Oh, how things move along,
From wrong to right, right to wrong.

I look back on my past,
I can regret, But I can't take it back.
So I'll glue that smile on my face,
And be happy because I've come a long way,
Such a long, long way,
A long, long way.
And now I say;

Oh, how I've changed,
From great to bad, sad to okay.
I was great then bad then sad,
But now I'm okay.
I wrote this when I got home today. I picked up my guitar, and this is what came out as I played a random song. The sound, and the way I wrote it, was influenced by the, almost kind of, personal emotion that is portrayed in most Folk songs, lyrically and musically.

Very emotional poem yet worth-reading.
